The launch was cancelled when a passing boat found the missing people and recovered them from the water. 22nd June 2021 – ILB Whilst on exercise at Porthlisky Bay the ILB was tasked at 3.13pm to assist 3 kayakers reported in difficulty near St Davids Head. On arrival two kayakers were found to be unable to paddle against the tide and had to be brought aboard the ILB to be taken to safety. The third had managed to reach safety unaided. Once all three were confirmed to be safe the ILB returned to it’s exercise at 3.40pm. 13th June 2021 - ALB and ILB The ALB launched at 10.05 following the activation of a VHF distress beacon about 2 miles south of St Davids. A search of the area commenced by lifeboat and a coastguard rescue helicopter from St Athans, Cardiff. At 10.28 the ILB was also tasked to the incident but did not launch. Several vessels in the area were checked but nothing untoward was located. The lifeboat rehoused at 11.50am. False alarm. 3rd June 2021 - ILB Crew Assembly The crew were paged at 11.44am to assist with the evacuation of an injured person reported on a beach about 1 mile east of Solva. However, further information received indicated that an evacuation by sea would not be necessary and the launch was cancelled. 3rd June 2021 - ALB and ILB The ALB launched at 3.23am for a 9m yacht with engine failure 14 miles NW of St Davids Head, there were 2 people on board. The vessel was towed back to the casualty mooring at St Justinians, arriving at about 6.30am. The ILB was launched to assist with securing the yacht to the mooring and the lifeboats rehoused at 7.00am. 31st May 2021 - ILB The ILB launched at 2.17pm to the assistance of 2 people in a small inflatable being blown out to sea from the beach at Abereiddi. Rehoused at 3.02pm. 30th May 2021 - ALB The ALB crew were paged at 10.06am for a Mayday call from an 8m cabin cruiser which was taking on water and sinking near St Davids Head. The lifeboat launched and proceeded to Porthselau beach where the crew were in the process of running the vessel aground. The Y-boat was deployed and the casualty’s 2 crew assisted ashore. The vessel, which had a mechanical defect, was repaired and refloated about 12 hours later. However, the lifeboat was released from the incident at 12.10pm. 18th May 2021 - ALB Whilst on exercise, the ALB was tasked to search for a distress beacon that had been detected near Strumble Head. The area was searched by the lifeboat, the coastguard rescue helicopter from Caernarfon and Fishguard coastguard rescue team. At 3.14pm, with nothing found, the search was ended and the lifeboat rehoused at 4.20pm. 15th May 2020 - ALB ALB launched at 10.54am to the assistance of a fishing vessel with engine failure near Abereiddi. Attempts were made to recover the lifeboat onto the slipway at St Justinians but the strong winds made this task impossible, so the Coastguard Rescue helicopter from St Athans, Cardiff winched the man from the lifeboat deck and flew him directly to hospital in Swansea. Further attempts were made to recover the lifeboat onto the slipway, but again conditions prevented a successful rehouse so the lifeboat was taken to Milford Haven to shelter overnight, returning to station at 1.00pm on 4th May. 2nd May 2021 - ALB ALB launched at 11.50am to the assistance of 2 people on board an 8m yacht about 1.7 miles north of St Davids Head.
